Abstract

Documentaries can help people bring about change in the world, as demonstrated by the movie 'An Inconvenient Truth'. Filmanthropy is a new movement which calls for documentary filmakers to consider their works' potential impacts early in the production. The role of documentary filmmakers in changing the world is discussed further.
