- Restaurant and food service CEO salaries failed to keep pace with the cost of living in 1995, according to an annual survey conducted by Restaurant Business magazine. Salaries for top CEOs increased by an average 10.4% in 1995 compared to a 14% increase in average corporate profits during the same time period.
