Numerical evaluation of electromagnetic force induced in high Tc superconductor with grain boundary

This paper describes a new method to calculate electromagnetic force acting between high [T.sub.c] superconducting material and permanent magnet, where the effect of grain boundary in the high [T.sub.c] superconductor is taken into account. The results show that hysteresis of the electromagnetic force is strongly affected by existence of the grain boundary.
