Abstract
- The strongly electron-donating ligand composed of two tert-amines and two phenolate donor groups were utilized to prepare two mononuclear [Fe.sup.III] complexes [LFe([[eta].sup.2]-N[O.sub.3]) and [LFeCl]. The results showed that the ligand could be adopt a cis and a trans conformation to oxidize [LFeCl] at moderate potentials to yield the monophenoxyl-radical complex [[LFeCl].sup.+] and the bisphenonoxyl-radical complex [[LFeCl].sup.2+].
