Abstract

King Soopers Inc and Safeway Inc are both losing market share to Cub Foods and Albertson's Inc during a grocery strike in Denver, CO. Picket lines are being honored by an approximate 80% of Denver's shoppers during the United Food and Commercial Workers Union strike, which began in May 1996. Job security, health care and pension cuts are among the strike's issues.
