Abstract
- A mechanistic study was performed on Suzuki-type self-coupling of arylboronic acids with palladium as the catalyst. Arylboronic acids were found to be convertible to symmetrical biartuls under Pd(0)-catalysis. A tendency of higher reaction rates for electron-donating substituents X in one arylboronic acid was also observed.
