Abstract

Enterprise networks that use asynchronous transfer mode (ATM) technology to support information systems derive benefits from ATM's multiplexing and intranet capabilities. Unused bandwidth is eliminated by multiplexing all types of data traffic into one network. Moreover, ATM provides accurate and stable performance for corporate applications using the Internet.
