Abstract
- A liquid crystal light valve (LCLV) uses indium-tin-oxide (ITO) as transparent electrode and hydrogenated amorphous silicon (a-Si:H) as photoconductor to give near IR-to-visible conversion. The IR transmittance is 80% for ITO, and the ratio of photo/dark conductivity in a-Si:H at near IR range is larger than one order of magnitude. The LCLV assembled using the photosensor gives clear visible images from near IR range scenery.
