Abstract: Several studies are conducted to explain the synthesis and structural characteristics of GeTe-rich GeTe-[Sb.sub.2][Te.sub.3] pseudobinary metastable crystals. An increase in the temperature is shown to lead to a change in the structure of the crystals from a slightly distorted NaCl-type structure to a regular type.
