Abstract

The intertextual references between the 'Dialogus' of Tacitus and the letters of Pliny with regard to boar hunting are investigated. The clues in the letters of Pliny indicating the interactions between them and his pointed reference to boars as an allusion to a character in the 'Dialogus' are discussed.
