AC transport current loss characteristics of HTS assembled conductors arranged edge-to-edge or face-to-face

The AC transport current loss characteristics in three high temperature superconducting (HTS) tapes with edge-to-edge of face-to-face configuration and parallel or anti-parallel transport currents are analyzed. The results have shown that the AC transport current loss in HTS tapes in an assembled conductor has depended on the tape arrangement and the direction of the transport current.
