Abstract

A real-time simulation method is described that has incorporated a real miniaturized High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) power cables into the simulated 22.9 kV utility power network system by using Real Time Digital Simulator (RTDS). The miniaturized HTS power cables are manufactured and the transient phenomenon of HTS power cable system is analyzed in the simulated utility power network.
