Abstract

The design and fabrication of conduction-cooled background superconducting magnet system for advanced High Temperature Superconducting (HTS) sample test devices are described. The magnet is composed of four coaxial coils, where two of them have served as the main coil to produce the needed 5-6 T background magnetic field.
