Abstract

N. haematococca PDAI-CD chromosome carries a gene for the utilization of homoserine. Findings reveal that the portion of the PDAI-CD chromosome containing the homoserine utilization (HUT) gene provides N. haematococca isolates with a competitive advantage in the pea rhizosphere.
