Global interdecadal and century-scale climate oscillations during the past five centuries

The inter-decadal signal exhibits variability in tropics and subtropics whereas the century scale exhibits high amplitude variability in the Atlantic and Arctic regions. The variations give information on low-frequency El Nino/Southern Oscillation variability and low-frequency thermohaline circulation. The temperature proxy records of several centuries is analysed in a multivariate way.
