Abstract
- Evaluation of the fatigue life in titanium matrix composites under isothermal and thermomechanical fatigue involves various models. The dominant damage model and the life fraction model are applicable over wide a range of frequency, temperature and loads. The use of stabilized stress or strain states enhances the predictability by incorporating stress redistribution due to damage, creep, and stress relaxations over the initial loading cycles.
