Temperature-sensitive mutations that cause stage-specific defects in zebrafish fin regeneration

A study was conducted to examine the processes involved in fin regeneration in amputated fins of adult zebrafish. The investigation focused on the stages of wound healing, establishment of the wound epithelium, recruitment of the blastema for mesenchymal cells underlying the wound epithelium and on differentiatio and outgrowth of the regenerate tissue.
