Abstract: The effects of substitution of Cu and Fe for Cd in Cd[Cr.sub.2][S.sub.4] on magnetic properties and magnetic entropy changes are examined. The maximum values of magnetic entropy change have suggested a potential of the sulfospinel as a magnetic refrigerant in the corresponding temperature range.
