Abstract
- The success of the Kibbutz Resocialization Program in Israel shows that rehabilitation of criminals is possible. Results of the first 26 young offenders accepted by the program were studied. The major limitation of the study was subject self-selection, but of the program graduates, less than 27% became recidivists, while convicted adult criminals as a whole have a 65.8 recidivism rate in Israel. Positive psychological changes are detailed.
