Abstract
- A study of nonequilibrium-dissociated stagnation boundary-layer flow on an arbitrarily catalytic swept wing shows that the overall effects of sweep angle reduce the dissociation effects in the frozen gas-phase regime. The dissociation effects are cancelled for sweep angles above 65 degrees. This creates perturbations in the functioning of a noncatalytic wall in reducing nonequilibrium heat transfer. The study is conducted in the high-altitude hypersonic flight regime.
