Abstract

Simulations of the step-impedance low-pass filter (LPF) in gallium arsenide (GaAs) substrate have shown that the magnetic fields of the propagating microwaves are heavily concentrated in its inductive elements. A band-stop filter using the same layer structure and a microstrip meander line with multiple segments of the step-impedance LPFs in a nonuniform bias magnetic field has provided increased microwave FMR peak absorption level and large absorption bandwidth.
