Abstract: Giant magnetoimpedance (GMI) effect and magnetic properties in ultrathin amorphous glass-coated microwires with nearly zero and negative magnetostruction constant and metallic nucleus are studied. Current annealing has changed off-diagonal MI curves, especially in the case of [Co.sub.74][B.sub.13][Si.sub.11][C.sub.2] microwave.
