Abstract

The effect of [alpha]-Fe content on the structure and magnetic properties of bulk isotropic and anisotropic[Nd.sub.2][Fe.sub.14]B/[alpha]-Fe nanocomposite magnets is analyzed. It is shown that the addition of [alpha]-Fe more than 2 vol% content has led to deterioration of [Nd.sub.2][Fe.sub.14]B crystallographic texture in the magnets, which has resulted in the degradation of the magnetic properties of the magnets.
