What is politics about? It's about pouring poison on people

The recently published Scott report does not attribute blame to individual government ministers, and no resignations will therefore take place. However, it has inflicted damage on the concept of ministerial accountability, and reflects badly on public ethics. It is now clear that politics in the UK is set to become increasingly dominated by issues relating directly to the personal actions of individual government ministers.
