Abstract: The effect of bending strain on the transport properties of multifilamentary [Nb.sub.3]Sn strands having twisted or untwisted superconducting filaments is examined in order to clarify the current transfer process within the wire cross section. The results are interpreted in terms of the predictions obtained from the Ekin's model.
