Examining mediators of change in traditional chemical dependency treatment

Previous studies have failed to analyze the different factors influencing change among drug and alcohol dependents undergoing traditional chemical dependency treatment (TCDT) approaches. Consequently, a study was conducted to identify some of these factors as well as some of the processes dependents undergo throughout the treatment. The results failed to specifically identify such factors and failed to support prevailing views on the processes of change involved in TCDT.
