Abstract
- Russia has expressed its anguish at the offensive launched by Croatia against the Serbs in Bosnia and has threatened to raise the issue in the UN Security Council. Croatia claims that it has no regular army units in Bosnia-Herzegovina. The western countries appears to be happy at Zagreb's action, though verbally expressing concern at this. Moscow's attempts to get the sanctions against Serbia lifted has found no support in the west. It is also trying to prop up Gen. Ratko Mladic against Radovan Karadzic.
