Ryanodine-induced calcium release from hepatic microsomes and permeabilized hepatocytes

The ability of the ryanodine to induce calcium release from hepatocyte microsomes is independent of the calcium concentration in the assay mixture. Ryanodine release calcium in a dose-receptive manner. Research reveals that calcium regulation of adenosine 5'-cyclic diphosphate-ribose does not act as the endogenous ligand for release via receptor RyR in liver cells.
