Share the burden: making economic and patriotic sacrifices

The U.S. President George W. Bush has asked for the 2002 and 2003 budget cuts to be made permanent and additional funding be made available for continuing operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Congress needs to take into account the innumerable sacrifices being made by men and women in the armed forces as well as the onus of the economic burden.
