Abstract
- Isomerization of cyclic or acyclic olefins is possible through tris(trimethylsilyl)silyl (TTMSS) radical by addition-elimination process. The (Z)-(E) interconversion of olefins by the addition-elimination sequence of the PhS radical can be used for the synthesis of other complex molecules. The (TMS)3SiH can replace Bu3SnH or PhSH. The isomerization of alkanes by (TMS)3SI radical may be faster or slower than with BU3Sn radical, depending upon the substrate. The proper choice of temperature, reaction time and reducing agent are necessary for the reduction or cyclization process.
