Abstract: The cloning and sequence analysis of the novel gene encoding [beta]-1,3-xylosidase gene (xloA) of Vibrio sp. strain XY-214 and the purification of recombinant xloA produced from transformed Escherichia coli are described. The recombinant [beta]-1,3-xylosidase has hydrolyzed [beta]-1,3-xylooligosaccharides to D-xylose as a final product.
