Global stockbroking by the seaside

Seven stockbroking companies operate in the Isle of Man, and they include City and International Securities and RL Stott. The Isle of Man is part of a mutual assistance pact with the UK Securities and Futures Authority (SFA), together with Guernsey and Jersey. The SFA carries out compliance visits to island brokers, but the service is scheduled to end. Regulatory activity is to be outsourced and carried out by KPMG, an arrangement approved of by the London Stock Exchange.
