Abstract: The gas-phase synthesis of the homo and hetero organocuprate anions [[MeCuMe]sup.-], [[EtCuEt].sup.-] and [[MeCuR].sup.-] is discussed. The synthesis reaction is found to be accompanied with various side reactions as well.
