Abstract
- The high-speed boundary-layer instability and transition can be studied by the newly constructed short-duration, low-cost, quiet-flow wind tunnel. The flow quality is achieved up to Reynolds numbers at over 400,000 on the axial length of the quiet-flow test region. The Ludwieg tube lacks the NASA-Langley boundary-layer bleed slots in the nozzle. This performance is achievable with clean, high-quality mirror finish.
