Abstract

The Boston University faculty, in attempting to reform the public schools of Chelsea, MA, realized the need for educating Chelsea's school mathematics teachers about the latest technological developments and their utility in educational instruction.. The Classroom Centered Teacher Development Mathematics Project, devised to provide professional training to teachers, brought about a major change in the teaching-learning process, allowing teachers to break free of the lecture-only method of teaching math. The model will be regularly revised to meet future needs.
