'Medical tourism' niche fizzles

Holistica Hawaii is to close down its health center at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Resort & Spa in Waikiki and is moving operation to San Francisco, California after the center failed to attract the number of customers it had expected. The center opened seven years ago as a model for medical tourism in the state to attract affluent vacationers for medical procedures and other diagnostic services.
