Abstract
- Analysis of the isolated characteristics of marked and unmarked mutations of mutated Paracoccus denitricans shows the MxaX response regulator is crucial to enable the mox genes to express themselves. The activation of MxaX requires more than one pathway. P. denitrificans oxidizes methanol, and forms formaldehyde when methanol substrates form. MxaX can be activated even in the absence of the signal sensor MxaY on a parallel signal transduction pathway.
