Abstract: Pseudospectral frequency-domain mode solver (PSFD-MS) is a novel full-vectorial optical waveguide mode solution method for waveguides with arbitrary step-index profile based on multidomain pseudospectral methods. Results suggest the robustness of the PSFD-MS in calculating the form birefringence value.
