Abstract
- Nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy is used for examining the binding of a series of bisphosphonate drugs to human bone. The results have shown that the N[H.sub.3.sup.+]-terminus of pamidronate is close to the bone mineral surface and a model is proposed in which the gauche side-chain hops between two bone P[O.sub.4.sup.3-] sites.
