Parental investment in childhood and educational qualifications: can greater parental involvement mediate the effects of socioeconomic disadvantage?

The issues of involvement of parents in their children's lives that can have an important impact on their well-being and in the long term ensure their future success are examined. Results show that though parental involvement in their childrenEs lives was important it depended on the measurement of involvement, economic hardships, gender of the parent and type of involvement.
