Abstract
- The fullerene-like chemistry exhibited by alkene-centered [C.sub.26][H.sub.12] geodesic polyarene, unlike of 2-dimensional polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons is investigated. The addition of electrophilic and neutrophilic reagents at the interior carbon atoms of the central 6:6 bond, resulting in carbon atom pyramidalization, gives it fullerene like reactivity.
