Abstract
- Organizations are an inseparable part of the market driven capitalist economies but the classical and neo classical economic theories largely ignore this aspect. Even the new institutional economics explain organizational behavior solely in terms drawn from neoclassical economics such as agency, asymmetric information, transaction costs and opportunism. The explanation is incomplete as it ignores organizational mechanisms like authority, identification and coordination. The study examines issues related to organizations and markets.
