The protection of human rights and the rigt to a fair tax trial in the light of the Jussila case

The alleged infringement of Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights (ECHR) in the Jussila case is examined. Mr. Jussila, a taxpayer in Finland, challenged the reassessment of his VAT, but failed, and later claimed that he was not given a fair tax trial. An evaluation of the case and an interpretation of article 6 of the ECHR are provided.
