Estimation of TCA cycle flux, aminotransferase flux, and anaplerosis in heart: validation with syntactic model

A new model is proposed for the estimation of the rate of the flux through the citric acid cycle (CAC) in heart without the use of differential equations. The conventional models require elaborate numerical solutions for differential equations which describe the CAC in the heart. The new model is accurate and also simple in design and usage.
