Quantitative single molecule measurements on the interaction forces of poly(L-glutamic acid) with calcite crystals

Atomic force microscopy (AFM)-based single molecule force microscopy is used for studying the interaction between poly(L-glutamic acid) (PLE) and calcite crystals. The PLE-calcite interaction is examined as a function of pH as well as the calcium concentration of the aqueous solution.
