Abstract
- The effects of using online information services such as Google Scholar and Scopus on the citation counts and rankings of library and information science faculty members as measured by Web of Science, are analyzed. Findings show that Scopus alters the relative ranking of scholars who appear in the middle of the rankings, and Google Scholar excels in its coverage of conference proceedings and international language journals.
