European management learning: a cross-cultural interpretation of Kolb's learning cycle

Abstract

The Hughes-Weiner thesis on the existence of cross-cultural differences in the experiential learning cycle of Kolb is investigated based on the learning styles of European management students. Results verify the Hughes-Weiner thesis. French students were found to prefer rational perceptual orientation while German students prefer practical instead of theoretical receptivity.
