The coprophilous mushroom Coprinus radians secretes a haloperoxidase that catalyzes aromatic peroxygenation

Abstract: The peroxidase activities of two coprophilous and litter-decomposing species of the genus Coprinus, namely Coprinus radians and Coprinus verticallatus are studied. The results show that the haloperoxidase secreted by Coprinus radians is used to catalyze the aromatic peroxygenation reaction.
