Abstract

The concept of strategic use of communication technology (CT) was differentiated from its traditional use. The quality of CT use differs widely among companies, industries and countries. The strategic use of CT is defined as the development of CT characteristics associated with network paradigms and integrative power to achieve a competitive position in the market. An important component of the diffusion of CT is the organization of networks within a users environment. Examination of patterns of CT diffusion should consider environments, communicative patterns, competition and markets.
