Natural products are the latest solutions to control flea infestation in pets. Among the natural substances used are D-Limonene and pyrethrin, both of which are mixed in pet shampoo formulas. The fleas' respiratory systems are paralyzed upon contact with the substances, leaving the pests dead without hurting the pet. Natural products are safe alternatives for flea control because toxicity is kept at a minimum. Other alternative solutions are nematodes and boric acid powder.
